The hotel Le Home Latin is located two minutes walk from the Luxembourg gardens, the Sorbonne, the Pantheon, and Notre-Dame cathedral.

The "Home Latin" is built rue du Sommerard on a historical site. In 1171, the buildings of the "Maison de l'hopital" the oldest hospital foundation otherwise called the hospital foundation of the order of saint John of Jerusalem or order of the knights of Rhodes and Malta, were builts this site.
