Casa Ruffino is a delightful bed & breakfast situated in the centre of
Balestrate, a small sea town, not far from Palermo, famous for its long
sandy beaches and crystal clear sea. This luxurious bed & breakfast occupies
part of the 19th century Palazzo Ruffino, a supremely elegant Sicilian
residence the graceful interiors of which contain valuable items of antique
furniture, exquisite stuccoes, and attractive "graniglia" floor tiles in
various hues.
From the moment they pass through the entrance doors of Casa Ruffino, the
warm hospitality and courteous attention offered by the owners of the
establishment, ensure that guests feel immediately at home. The loving care
and meticulous attention to detail exercised by the proprietors is evident
in each and every corner of the bed & breakfast, whether in the common
areas, in the bedrooms, or breakfast room. Free internet connection is
available to all guests.
The bed & breakfast has a total of just five bedrooms (measuring between 22
and 27sqm), each of which has its own distinct style: from the classic
"Rachele to the sunny "Rebecca", from the wonderfully romantic "Regina", to
the small and delicate "Rosa" and the stylish "Romana". All of the bedrooms
are equipped with the latest in-room technology, including air conditioning,
satellite TV and high speed ADSL internet connection.
Casa Ruffino offers guests an excellent concierge service, assisting in the
organisation of excursions, transfers, car rental, and tastings of typical
local produce and wines.
Casa Ruffino is situated in the town of Balestrate, a much loved sea resort
not far from Sicily's capital city of Palermo. A small town built just off
the long sandy beaches lapped by the crystal clear waters of the gulf of
Castellammare del Golfo. Balestrate is located on the North Western coast of
Sicily, half way between Palermo (40km) and Trapani (50km).
Within easy reach of Casa Ruffino lie Scopello, the Zingaro Nature Reserve,
Segesta, and Erice. Just a little further away, to the West, there are the
towns of Marsala and Mazara del Vallo. Travelling Southbound, along the
Sicilian coast, visitors soon come to Sciacca and Agrigento.
